Another Photo Update or Two!

First of all, happy birthday Grandma!!  I love you so much :)

Wow, for not getting letters this week, I have had a great Compassion week.  I have gotten three photo updates in four days!!

I already shared Lucie's photos, so I will now show you the photos of...

Aruna in India-

taken spring 2010

August 2011

taken April 2012

and Juan in Mexico

his first ever Compassion photo and probably photo, taken September 2011

taken April 2012
I am so glad to see that most of these photos get updated every 18 months.  I love seeing how they grow up!  Out of these three photo updates, I think Juan's has the biggest difference.  He looks cleaner in the new one and just so much older! :)

Have you gotten any photo updated recently?

Update on Aruna

I got a letter from Aruna a little while ago.  (You can read that letter HERE  It is updated with pictures!)  She asked for prayer for her mouth problem.  After reading a discussion on OC, I decided to do an inquiry about this.  In less than a month, it came back!

Yesterday, I was glad to read this, "We received a response from our field office in India to your inquiry about a recent letter that you had received from Aruna saying that she was having a problem with her mouth. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention!  Our field staff report that Aruna is a healthy young lady. During the winter, her lips get very dry and cracked which causes some pain and discomfort. I am sure you will be able to empathize with this problem. This is the only problem that she has with her mouth."

Thanking God that Aruna is healthy!  And praying that I will get an opportunity to send a gift with someone to India.  Then I can send her some awesome chap-stick! :)

 Hello, friends!

It is really peaceful here.  It is snowing outside.  The baby is sleeping.  Christmas music is playing.  Pumpkin bars are baking.  What more could one wish for?

Some blessings from this month:

  • warm, fuzzy blankets
  • my new correspondents Samantha and Elizabeth
  • letter and photo from Junior
  • letter from Aruna
  • snow-tipped trees
  • bubbles
  • Aubrey and Emilie (two girls from my four year old class)
  • colorful sunrises
  • the baby's smile
  • a cool night's fog
  • Christmas cookies
  • whipped frosting
  • and so many more!!
Join me in passing on blessings this Christmas.  Give the gift of hope, healing, or rescue.
