I've gotten lots of really sweet, thoughtful gifts. Seriously, my family and friends are really great!
This gift though I was most surprised about for sure!
My parents got my sister and I VIP tickets to the Newsboys concert that I wanted to go to!! I would have never guessed they'd get me VIP tickets, so it was so cool!
So I love concerts....a LOT! The only issue I have with them is that they are short. I go to one at night and have so much fun. Then the next day I get up and think "I so wish I could go to that again today!" I just love going to concerts.
And secretly (or maybe not so secretly!), I've always wanted to be "famous." I always thought it would be fun to perform in front of people and such. But since I don't really have any musical talent (lol!), I have decided that it would be fun to know "famous" people. Considering, though, that I don't know anyone "famous," I decided it would be fun to meet "famous" people. And thus, I have tried to meet people who I think of as "famous" (basically, Christian musicians).
So, as you can see, VIP tickets to a concert were a really wonderful gift!

DeleteWow, that is awesome! I got to meet my favorite singer, John Schlitt, and host him in concert for a weekend... it was the best weekend of my life! Hmm, I may have to write a blog post about that...
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool, Hannah!!! I loved Petra when I was little :) You should totally post about it!
DeleteOh my goodness, that is an amazing surprise!! So glad you got to do that! I absolutely love concerts too! Great picture. Hope you had a wonderful birthday then! :)

ReplyDeleteHow fun!! That's so sweet of your parents. I can tell that they know you well :)
ReplyDeleteYep, they do, Hannah!
DeleteWhat a great surprise! It reminds me of the night I got to meet Michael W Smith and Amy Grant. I had emailed a friend who works for Compassion to see if she'd be at the concert. Her husband is THE Compassion music guy - knows and works with all the Compassion artists. Well, he told me to come early so I could meet them. I was so surprised and shocked as meeting them had been a life long dream of mine.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note...my husband served Michael Tait at a restaurant one time way back when we were in college.
Wow, that is so cool!! What an awesome job :) I am sure that it was great to meet them - how fun!
DeleteThat's so neat :)
