January 12, 2010.

Four years ago, the earth shook.  Let us not forget the Haitian people who are still living in the reality of the devastating, destructive earthquake.

Haitians are still living in displacements camps.  They have no place to go, yet they are constantly threatened and even forcibly evacuated from their makeshift shelters.

It has been four years, but it has only been four years.  It will probably be decades before Haiti is back to what it used to be, which was still the poorest nation in this hemisphere.

Today, let us remember our Haitian friends and consider how we can help bring about change.

  1. Supporting Haitian families trying to earn a living (so they can move out of Tent City, get an education, keep their children, etc) is another great way to help! Check out one of my favorite organizations, apparentproject.org, to learn more! : )
