One Meal One Day

Hello!

As you may have noticed, I have a new widget on the sidebar.  Well it is to raise money for children in Ethiopia through the campaign One Meal One Day.  I wrote a post about it earlier.  You can read that HERE.

Today was One Meal One Day.  So I skipped lunch.  And to be quite honest, it really wasn't that hard.  I chose to skip lunch and be hungry.  Yes, I was hungry, and it was hard to get motivated.  But, I chose that.

What was hard was knowing that people don't choose to be hungry.  They are hungry all day, every day.  They work as hard as they can and do their best, but they can't get themselves out of the terrible cycle of poverty.  Literally, they have no hope.

That's where you and I come in.  Through One Meal One Day, we can give them hope.  We can give them an opportunity, a choice, to raise up out of poverty and hunger.

Compassion doesn't just give them food, Compassion gives them resources to get their own food.  With Compassion, their hard work can make a difference.  And they can be released from poverty.  In Jesus' Name of course!  That's the other great thing.  Not only will their bellies be filled, but so will their spirits.

If you feel led, hop on over HERE to raise a child out of poverty, to give them a little food to fill their bellies and a lot of love to fill their hearts.
