Last Friday I got a letter from Junior in Ecuador. He is going to be 11 in May.
Dear Elisabeth,
I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let me tell you that I am fine. I hope that you are fine. I thank you for the help that you give to me and for the letter and the drawing and for the stickers. Godmother *heart melts* I am very happy because you wrote to me. In the project of Compassion we learn verses. Thanks for the pictures. How many siblings do you have? Pray for me and for my family so we will do fine.
Bye,
Junior
And on the back of letter, there was a beautiful drawing of a boat with a flag and a fishing pole. I think he used a ruler to make sure all the lines were straight :)
I had the opportunity to send a little gift with a friend who is going to Ecuador in March. My dad suggested that I send Junior some fishing hooks because he lives on the Onzole River. I was so happy to see that he drew a fishing pole! :)
Did you get any letters recently?
Change a life!
Lizzie :)
I love when I get drawings from my kids! And it's so cool that you had the opportunity to send Junior a gift. I hope I get the chance to send gifts (that aren't flat and paper-y) to my kiddos someday!
ReplyDeleteI want to post a picture of Junior's picture, but haven't had the chance yet. Yes, I was thrilled to send a gift to Junior! Hopefully you will have the chance to do that someday too. :)
DeleteThat's so neat that you were able to send Junior fishing hooks!! Especially now that you see that he likes fishing! What a cute letter--and that's so fun that you received drawing also.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I was pretty happy knowing that he likes to fish :)
